Application for Marriage-Based Adjustment of Status GRANTED – Attorney Successfully REVERSED Previous Denial of I-485 green card application - Client Received Green Card (May 2020)

In a May 2020 decision, our firm received USCIS’s approval decision of client’s I-485 Application, and successfully reversed a USCIS’s previous denial decision.

 

Our client was a beneficiary of an I-130 petition filed by the spouse. Client was represented by previous counsel in which the I-485 Adjustment of Status application was submitted concurrently with the I-130 petition. After the initial interview, USCIS denied client’s I-130 Petition and I-485 Adjustment of Status application claiming the marriage was not bona fide.

 

Our office was immediately consulted to assist with the client’s denial to obtain a green card. Attorney Nguyen D. Luu put forth a strategic plan of action to overcome the denial and successfully prepared the client for the subsequent Immigration interviews. A solid case was put forth supported by the submission of credible evidence. Client’s green card application was approved within 90 days after Attorney Nguyen D. Luu accompanied client to the interview.
